All patios are engineered to withstand the various changes in climate. First analyzing the soil conditions onsite. Being sure to dig down a min of 8 inches removing all unsuitable material (top soil). Replacing unsuitable material with select offsite fill suck as crusher run, granite or gravel, or crushed concrete at a depth of 6-8 inches. Machine packing the sub base to achieve a minimum 95% compaction of uniform density and thickness. The concrete is slope ¼" per running foot away from the home. If proper drainage is prevented do to the area of concrete being locked between two structures, a drain will be installed which will collect the water at a low point in the concrete and feed it down the drain.

All concrete placed will be a minimum of 4 inches thick Concrete will be reinforced with 10 gage steel mesh. Expansion joint will be placed wherever slab is in contact with another concrete slab. All control joints are properly spaced no more than 2-3 times the size of the slab thickness. A Chemical Membrane will be sprayed evenly throughout the concrete surface as soon as the concrete is hard enough to resist surface damage. The Chemical Membrane is simply just a concrete sealer. If patios are stamped then control joints will be saw cut.
